Mina Mazzini - Se Telefonando
Okay, so I lied when I said I wasn’t going to do my throw back post. Mina is one of the best Italian singers from back in the day, and probably one of the most famous from the 60s. She’s been compared Barbara Streisand, albeit a little more loopy and weird. I personally love this specific song…it just reminds me of Italy and my childhood.
Mina, stage name of Anna Maria Mazzini (March 25, 1940, Busto Arsizio, Province of Varese), is an Italian singer. She lives in Switzerland.
Although born in a small town of Lombardy, she grew up in Cremona city: where her nickname of “Cremona Tiger” was given to her by her friend, the journalist Natalia Aspesi.
She began her career singing pop songs with a “jazzy” feel in the late 1950s. Her first stage name used to be Baby Gate. After a 1958 concert at La Bussola, a nightclub on the Versilia famous for hosting artists such as Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald, she became a national star in Italy.

My friend and I officially refer to him as ‘TR’ short for Tongue-ring…because well he has one. :P Anyways he sang this song at San Remo in 2010 and he brought along his bestie Alessandra Amoroso. (Man that duet was seriously the hottest thing I had ever seen. I felt like I was intruding by watching them, and they were just singing!) He is adorable and I’m still holding out for him and “Ale” to get together. (I can dream can’t I?) He was on amici with Ale(that’s how they met) In fact this is a live duet by the two of them when they went back to surprise the current contestants. Adorable boy is adorable! <3

Valerio Scanu (born 10 April 1990 in La Maddalena, Sardinia, Italy) is an Italian pop singer.
In 2008 Valerio took part in the 8th edition of the Italian talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi, in which he came second place.
His first studio album Sentimento sold 40,000 copies in the first week after its release in April 2009 and was certified gold. The title song reached number one on the Italian Singles Chart.
On 20 February 2010, he won the 60th edition of the televised Italian song contest, the Sanremo Music Festival with his song Per tutte le volte che. At the age of 19, this made him the youngest male winner in the history of the festival.[1] He has released one EP, three albums and nine singles.
